The world scholar's cup is an academic event and a great opportunity for kids and teens. Every year the world scholar's cup comes up with a different theme, this year its a world on the margins. There is three different rounds for the event, the local round, global round and the final round. In the local rounds any student can compete with their whole team, if they don't have a team they can join up another incomplete team once they get to the event. The teams will get to compete in the 4 categories of the event, scholar's challenge, team debate, scholar's bowl and collaborative writing. The event will be two days long with fun shows throughout the event like the cultural fair and the talent show.
After the event,the hosts will announce the individual and team awards as well as the qualifiers for the global rounds. If you qualify for the global round you get to pick one of six countries available and you will get to compete in the same four categories but against different teams and different countries. The global round lasts five days, during those five days you will get to do many activities such as scavenger hunts and the optional tours offered after the whole events.
